This signal is given by the long-term prevention project "young!" in Borken, in which the city, the police, independent organisations, schools, family education centres and other partners are involved. The project started with the children: they were already accompanied by dispute resolution methods in the childcare facilities. Primary school children engage in participatory theatre with topics such as tolerance, courage and moral courage. Parents can attend lectures and events and thus strengthen their educational competence. When a child is born, they also receive a "starter kit" with information relevant to education and vouchers for participation in parental training, which is followed by further information and invitations. The project owes much to the commitment of local companies and private individuals who, as sponsors, ensure parts of financing.
